Mlambe Foundation aims to inform Malawians and the general public about the rich heritage the country has. For this purpose it publishes or supports both academic and popular works on the topic. It started with the publication of Prof. Schoffeleers’ unpublished D.Phil. thesis from Oxford University at the occasion of his 80th birthday. It was published in limited edition under the title Mang’anja Traditional Religion. Spirit beliefs and practices in Malawi’s Lower Shire Valley. New editions of his Land of Fire and In Search of Peace and Justice are scheduled provided the necessary funding can be found. A Malawian addition of Mang’anja Traditional Religion is also in the pipe-line.
