Mlambe Foundation has established a small education fund to support:
a) Malawian students in the field of cultural heritage research and conservation;
b) schools in financing field trips to museums, archaeological sites and (national) monuments in Malawi, and;
c) museums and other cultural institutions in setting up and implementing education programmes and training of their staff.
The resources permitting, applications are considered as they come in. Preference is given to students and school children.
Persons and institutions that may apply
The following persons and institutions are eligible for applying to the Mlambe Foundation Education Fund:

- Malawian university students in need of funds for their education in the field of cultural heritage research and conservation;
- Primary and secondary schools in Malawi for the benefit of field trips to be made by their students to museums, archaeological sites and (national) monuments in Malawi.
- Malawian governmental and non-governmental institutions, museums, universities and schools for the benefit of their employees, in order to finance special courses or traineeships in the field of cultural heritage research and conservation;
- Museums, school and other cultural institutions in setting up and implementing cultural heritage education programmes.

Malawian Students
Malawian students can apply for grants and/or interest free loans towards coverage of their study expenses. Terms and conditions of the grants and loan repayment shall be made with each individual student held eligible for funding from the Education Fund. A student applying for funding must submit the following:

- CV;
- Motivation letter;
- Letter of recommendation by his/her professor;
- Itemized budget;
- Time schedule

Conditions:
Letter of appreciation after receipt of the funds. Two copies of any thesis or publication resulting from the education programme for which assistance was sought. Financial conditions are made on individual basis.
